It’s best to make the drive during low tide. It’s also a good idea to check the tide schedule for when you plan to drive in and drive out.We didn’t run into any problems, but conditions may vary. That way if one gets stuck the other can help it out. It is recommended to take two 4-wheel drive vehicles if possible.No camping permits or reservations are required.The annual national parks pass is also accepted here.
